Part of the success of our business is knowing how to keep our customers happy. I know that our classes are great value but to be perceived as good value the clients need to know that they are not only getting that good value, but they are also having fun.
Yes, we do spend close to half and hour in the introduction but I think it is important that everyone understands the process of candle making. We discuss the temperatures, density, how the soy is hydrogenated, why we weigh the wax and the fragrance and of course we cover the safety aspects.
At the end of the day I want all my students to go home with their beautiful candles, tealights and melts. Candles that they have created in their choice of colour and fragrance and know that they can go home confident enough to continue their candle making.
We are always available for advice by email or by phone and many of our students have gone on to start their own businesses. Something I encourage.
I am proud to say that we have many great businesses supporting us as well.
As they grow, we also grow. For example Luxury Candle Supplies, Crafty Candle Supplies, Gala Imports, Passionfruut and Bananalab.

There hasn't been this much excitement in the candle making industry since soy wax was introduced to Australia. Luxury Candle Supplies has created a new range of wax blends that will change the way everyone makes candles. For a number of years they have had the best range of glassware, but now they have branched out to supply much needed wax blends.
We recently used the 100 % soy wax (S100 wax from All Seasons Wax Company ) for a beginners candle making class with exceptional results. For a class of novices, they produced, candles that were well made with smooth, glossy finishes and more importantly no cracks or bubbles.
From my own testing of this wax, a lower pour temperature was required to produce a good finish.
Our hands-on workshops along with excellent tuition will have you making candles in no time. We work with the best suppliers, so you get the best results.
Whether it is a hen's night, a group of friends or a team building workshop you need, we can help you get it organised. We're all about fun in these classes but you will go away knowing how to make great candles.
Come join us for a workshop.

Thanks to all the participants of my candle making class yesterday. Despite the cold, wet start to the day, we had an enjoyable 3 hours making soy candles. Montrose Town Centre is a lovely venue for teaching.
